Village shop latest update

We are pleased to announce that there has been a positive response from interested parties to run the village shop. Your Parish Council have shortlisted two potential tenants and all parties are currently going through their own due diligence process. We will update everyone once these processes are complete with the anticipation that contracts could be exchange within the coming weeks

Bottle Bank has been emptied again

The bottle bank in the Village Hall carpark has now been emptied. The bottle bank should be emptied frequently by Glass Recycling Ltd ( tel 01226 727298) but it appears they are well behind schedule with many of our neighbouring villages suffering similar problems. After a quite remarkable turnout - some would even say better than a General Election below are the final results. Speaking to long standing residents of the village it appears that in previous ballots it was considered a success if more than 70 residents participated. Beckingham Bowling Team win Knockout Shield

Beckingham's Gainsborough Bowls League team pulled off an excellent victory on 4 August when they beat the league leaders Scotter on Melrose's green to win the GBL Knockout Shield by 95 shots to 71

Work at the Cemetery

Work at the Cemetery

Our village linesman has been working hard after it was recently brought to his attention about the appearance of the cemetery.He has spent quite a few hours over the last couple of days repairing the broken fence and cutting back the overgrown trees, bushes and nettles.
